Baby B update!

Mr B has been doing well! I haven't posted because really not a lot going on! We had a few weeks of downtime and all was good, we did have a trip to PCH ER but all checked out perfect! Brody Definitly keeps us on our toes. He is putting on the LB's... Ten pounder is what Charli calls him. This week is a busy week... We have an appointment everyday except Friday, and in this heat NO FUN!!! We see cardiology almost weekly, echos of his heart to make sure his shunt( little straw) that goes from his ventricle to his pulmonary artery has good blood flow, he takes half an aspirin a day to help keep his blood thin. This also helps with making sure a clot doesn't form in his shunt! Talk about stress!! Brody will go in for a cath procedure, where they go in through his femoral artery to take precise pictures of his little heart! This will give the surgeons and Dr's a better idea of what they are up against during his next surgery. The second surgery called the Glenn or the Hemi fontan will be mid August they are suspecting. One day at a time with little B... Nothing is set on stone but research shows the sooner the better, so we are just trying to get B fatter!! Now when I say trying I mean that is what I do. He still breast feeds like a champ, but I still give him food through his NG tube ( tube that goes from his nose to his belly) every few hours! He needs the extra calories to help him gain weight! Hopefully after the next surgery we can get rid of his NG once and for all:) If he would take the bottle I could probably ditch it now but Mr. B is particular and isn't too fond of the bottle. He still gets weighed every morning and we all jold our breath in hopes thst he gains! Some days he does, others he doesn't but overall his cardiology team is happy with his progress. Big sister Charli went camping with the family and was gone about two weeks, the house was very quiet! She starts kindergarten in two weeks and is super excited, as are we!! She is a busy body and needs to be kept busy! Charli really is a doll, she has so much love on her for her brother.. She still is my little helper! She even takes Brody when he is in a good mood:) We are so blessed to have such a beautiful boy in our lives! He teaches us everyday to not sweat the small stuff...to enjoy each day! Of course our Sweet Sassy girl keeps everyone on their toes, and is a constant reminder of how we all should live our life!! She wakes up every morning ready to take on the day with a smile on her face and a snow cone for breakfast!!!!love to all:)
