Today!!

Today! Brody had a bath today, his nurse today was and is amazing! The simplest task like holding a baby is a huge fiasco, there's picc lines and arterial lines and iv lines and EKG lines and uhhhh I could go on and on, but we did get to hold him and were actually getting better at it:) He has I call the spiderweb of lines attached to him so holding isn't easy at all... But once were situated it's HEAVEN!!!! Tomorrow Brody will be going to the cath lab to check his coronary blood flow... So everyone pray for good coronary blood flow:) They will go through his femoral artery and inject a dye into his heart too see what the blood flow looks like, then his first open heart surgery is scheduled for Tuesday! We spoke with Dr(s) today and the surgeon and they said rest up... Ya right how ate we suppose to do that? But we are Definitly enjoying our little man, he amazes us every second. He truly is our gift from god and we are so lucky to have him!finny how the day flew by, all we did was watch him and hold him, talk with a dozen different people on his medical team and just be amazed at how well he is doing! We pray everyday that he things will go smoothly. Brody is only a few days old but has taught me so much already, he is such a fighter and we are going to be right here by his side every step of the way! Big sister Charli has a birthday tomorrow, she wants to come see her brother for her birthday present, what a sweet girl! We are so blessed to have our Bug and Brody in our lives:) Thank you everyone for your love and support.

  1. Elissa, I had no idea you were having to deal with all this. Love and prayers going up for your perfectly gorgeous baby and the whole family! I know how tough it is dealing with NICU/PICU! Blessings to you and yours!
