We saw our Brody
Wellll.... Our boy is out of surgery... We did get to see him but I should have opted to just stay out if the room... That was the worst thing I think I've ever seen... So hard to see your sweet boy like that. The next 48 hours are critical.... His chest is open and he has a chest tube inn and a media stinal tune in to drain the excess blood off of his perfect broken heart! Please pray for our boy....

ReplyDeleteMy name is Marisa, I am a friend of Marilyn's and she's been keeping my updated on Brody. He is a beautiful boy, breathtaking! It feels like just yesterday I was in that same room with my baby girl with all those wires and tubes and everything else hooked up to her that I had no clue what they were and depended on those amazing nurses at PCH to handle and could tell you what every one of those lines were in an instant. I felt much that same that I couldn't stand to see her and wanted to just leave and have someone call me when she was fixed. Her surgery wasn't nearly as invasive, but I look at her today and I am completely amazed at how far shes come and in such a short amount of time. Once his beautiful chest is closed (and it won't ever be a scar, but a badge of courage) you too will be amazed at how quickly he bounces back. Brody is in great hands at PCH and before you know it, you'll be holding your little miracle once again. You are a beautiful family and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
